Things to do

Restaurants

Compère Lapin

Compère Lapin(kom-pare la-pan) n. 1. French for “brother rabbit” 2. Restaurant helmed by Chef Nina Compton in the heart of the Warehouse Arts District in New Orleans.

Turkey and the Wolf

If you are a Duke's Mayo enficianado, you will love it here. If you are impartial to Duke's Mayo, you will still love it here. Some of the best and most creative sandwiches you will find in the city.

Domilise's Po-Boys

You made it all this way down, you should eat a Po-Boy and this is the place to do it. Chris would recommend an oyster Po-Boy, Shannon would not (but she's not the one making this website.)

Camellia Grill

If New Orleans and Waffle House had a baby, it would be Camellia Grill. Grab a waffle, eat some cheese fries, and cure your hangover.

Café Du Monde

Beignets. Beignets. Beignets.

Neighborhoods and Activities

The French Quarter

Eat food, hangout with tourists and street artists alike, catch a ghost tour.

Magazine Street

Spend the day walking down Magazine Street. Peruse the stores, grab a croissant from La Boulangerie, drink a pint at The Bulldog.

Streetcar on St. Charles

Ride the Streetcar from the French Quarter to Audubon Park where you'll find the New Orleans Zoo, the Fly, a golf course, and a beautiful running trail.

Swamp Tour

We know you want to see an alligator. You know you want to see an alligator. The swamp has alligators. Need we say any more.

Favorite Bars

Maybe we haven't made this event fun enough for you. If that's the case, here are some of our favorite bars: The Carousel Bar, Tchoup Yard, Le Bon Temps Roule

Frequently asked questions

What is a second line?
A second line is a type of parade and dance tradition in New Orleans. For weddings, the newlyweds lead the second line, often holding decorated umbrellas or parasols, followed by guests who join in.
We highly encourage you to wear comfortable shoes. And be prepared to dance. Props and beverages provided.
Where should I stay?
We highly recommend Hôtel Provincial, where we have a discounted room block! Located on the same street as, and in-between, the St. Louis Cathedral and Ursuline Convent, it offers a prime location in the French Quarter. You will easily be able to walk between these two landmarks while staying in a great spot.
We have reserved a small set of rooms at a discounted rate, but more can be added based on demand.
